4 of My Must Have Products for Burnout Healing

Burnout impacts every facet of your wellbeing - from how your body absorbs nutrients to your ability to be optimistic and to feel joy. Overtime this leads to wear and tear on your body’s systems and organ function. It leads to metabolic and hormonal changes that impact your physical health.

At the end of the day, there are no short cuts for healing. It requires learning new habits and practices around your nutrition and self care that prioritize your wellbeing. But there are products that can help fill in some of the gaps while you’re in the process of restoring your mind body connection and replenishing your resources. So, today I’m sharing some of my favorite burnout healing products that I regularly recommend to my clients.

Magnesium Supplement

Magnesium is my absolute ALL TIME FAVORITE mineral that we just don’t get enough of due to soil depletion and stress. Research has shown that magnesium promotes healing and recovery in the body and clarity in the mind. It supports neurotransmitter regulation for better sleep, more energy, and less pain.

Magnesium comes in several forms, but in general, I recommend magnesium glycinate for general use and magnesium citrate for muscle + gut function support.

I personally use the magnesium glycinate supplement from Pure Encapsulations and also have included it in my Burnout & Conception Supplement Protocol. Feel free to view this and other supplements on the protocol at the link below, but be sure to consult with a practitioner for a personalized recommendation before starting any new supplements.

Tonic Vibes Chill Tincture

I love CBD for women’s well being and Tonic Vibes is one of my favorite brands!

Here’s a bit about how CBD works - the endocannabinoid (ECD) system is a pathway that runs with both the central and peripheral nervous systems. It's a team player when it comes to regulating a bunch of important functions like fertility, appetite, pain, mood, memory, and stimulation of exercise endorphins after working out. When your systems are out of whack from burnout, it can result in a lot of inflammation.

CBD helps reduce inflammation by binding the body’s cannabinoid receptors within the ECD system to reduce the expression of inflammatory markers. In other word, it has the ability to calm the neurons down and shut down the inflammatory response mechanisms! Research has shown that it is therapeutic for a vast array of conditions, including but not limited to PMS, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, IBS, IBD, anxiety, depression, cramps, migraine, sleep, acid reflux, and the list goes on!

If you are interested in integrating CBD as a therapeutic component for burnout management, talk to your healthcare provider!

Needed Hydration Support

Dehydration is inflammatory and makes burnout worse. Even mild dehydration can trigger a stress response in your body and where there is stress, there is extra cortisol. Where there is prolonged extra cortisol, there is an inflammatory response. This can wreak havoc on your hormone and metabolic function.

Even if you get in your daily ounces you could still be dehydrated if your minerals are out of balance. Minerals are what help your cells actually retain the water. When you are chronically stressed, your body uses greater quantities of minerals to try to stay in balance so your demand is even higher. That’s why I recommend using an electrolyte powder to help your body replenish these important resources.

For the past couple months I have been starting my mornings with the Needed hydration support and I am loving it! It's light, lemony, loaded with electrolytes + trace minerals, and has no added gums or sugars.

Kettle and Fire Bone Broth

I’m not much for “super foods” but Kettle and Fire bone broth is one that I consistently recommend to clients who are feeling depleted and in need of low effort ways to add nutrition.

There are 10-12 grams of high bioavailable protein in each serving, which is great for healing from burnout and balancing hormones for gut + adrenal + immune + fertility systems. It’s also a great source of collagen, which helps manage inflammation and plays a key role in supporting your overall health.

One of my favorite ways to enjoy bone broth is to warm it up with salt + pepper + lemon + ginger and sip it like tea. It’s so warm and soothing! You can also easily swap it out for water when making oats, soups, and stews.

Supplements and superfoods can certainly have a place in your routine but should be viewed as the cherry on top of a solid foundation of nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management practices. Combined they can make a powerful protocol that helps you have more energy, a clear mind, better periods, and just feel better in your body.

If you want help figuring out the nutrition and self care protocol that’s right for you, hit me up to schedule a free quick consult to learn about my programs!
